Assisi is a uniquely preserved 13th century Unbrian hill town, home to St. Francis, the “apostle of the poors”. Our visit to Assisi includes, the Convento di San Damiano, a small chapel in the valley, rebuilt by St. Fracis at the beginning of his ministry and the basilica, built over the tomb of Francis.
